This type of service isn’t new, but Xbox’s Game Pass offers more than the similar services. It is a new concept of an already existing service. It offers gamers access to a gaming library for a “low” monthly price. It has the potential for great success or huge failure. To gain interest fast, Microsoft has priced this new subscription service on the low side.

For the gamer, after signing up, you’ll get access to a large library of games you can download and play. You can continue to play these games for as long as you remain a Game Pass member in good standing (Your Xbox account can get banned for bad behavior). Unfortunately, most of the games that are available on the service are not the “Complete Edition” of the games which means if you liked the game and want to play the DLCs, you’re gonna have to buy the DLCs separately. Still, in the case of Xbox, you can download ALL the games on the service, it doesn’t matter if it is an original Xbox game or an Xbox 360 game. Not all the competing services can give you backwards compatibility as the Xbox. Furthermore, you can also get the Xbox Game Pass for the PC which gives this service an incredible value for the amount of money you are paying, especially if you get the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. With the Ultimate, you can get the service on PC, Xbox, and get the Xbox Live Gold which gives you access to online play and discounts and free games every month. I know it sounds too good to be true, which is why a lot of people say that the price will go up eventually, so enjoy it now.
Canceling the Xbox Game Pass service
Now that we have explained what the service is and how it works, if you still want to cancel it we will tell you how to do it. If you wish to cancel a subscription, all you need to do is turn off recurring billing. Keep in mind that when you subscribed, the auto-renewal was activated. When you turn recurring billing off, your subscriptions will expire when they reach the renewal date. Sign in to Service & Subscriptions with your own Microsoft account to manage your subscriptions and turn off the recurring billing.
